There are around 11,000 common and useful expressions and words, and the remaining ones are technical terms and unique Chinese characters. The entries in the ENGLISH TO CANTONESE VOCABULARIES section are also grouped under the ABBREVIATIONS USED IN THIS BOOK. Within each category, these entries are sorted alphabetically. The UNIQUE CHINESE CHARACTERS section provides a good selection of several hundred Chinese characters with varying complexity for readers who are interested in finding out what they mean. Sidney Lau Cantonese Romanisation System is utilised for all the unique Chinese and Cantonese characters throughout the whole book to indicate the actual Cantonese pronunciation by native speakers.
