I found an old notebook from my freshman days in college and low and behold there was a free verse poem from 1973. I always knew there was something different about me. I finally realized as an adult in my late 30's that I was an artist. I started writing poems seriously in the 90's and still continue today. I compiled 49 poems of my own and included a poem by one of my children. This became "A Louisiana Woman". What makes all women different is what binds us together. We fight constantly not to just be another product of our environment, but to be a product of what God wants us to be.
