A Woman Who Laughed: Henrietta Soltau Who Laughed at Impossibilities, and Cried: 'It Shall Be Done' - Paperback

by Mildred Cable (Author), French (Author)

This biography of Henrietta Soltau portrays the extraordinary life of a woman fully surrendered to God. Though health problems thwarted her dream of being a missionary in the foreign field, she found her calling at home caring for missionary children and candidates. Inspired by radical figures like George Müller and Hudson Taylor, Ms. Soltau was determined never to tell another human being about her needs. She learned to receive "daily bread direct from the Father's Hand." This deep faith cultivated a spirit within her that could laugh at impossibilities and boldly declare, "It shall be done!"

Her life became a powerful demonstration of God's faithfulness. Time and time again, faced with financial needs or shortages, God's provision arrived precisely when needed, from the exact sum for fees to surprise hampers of food and needed household items. Even in times of doubt or criticism, Henrietta Soltau's experiences of the faithfulness of God solidified her belief that "Nothing is impossible with God." This book is a testament to her enduring trust and the deep, abiding joy that marked the life of a woman who laughed in the face of difficulties.

Authors Mildred Cable and Francesca French, intimate friends and coworkers of Ms. Soltau, bring depth and warmth to her story.
