Ask the Animals, They Know: Lessons Learned from Nature's Finest - Hardcover

by Melody J. Shields (Author)

In this delightful memoir, Melody shares a lifetime of animal adventures that will make you laugh and cry. What's a twelve-year-old girl to do when a horse shows up in her back yard?

You will meet Abby, the West Highland terrier who soothes the sick, and Misty, the Schnoodle, who joins the bike club and becomes Melody's coach. Can the mystery of the German Shepherd be solved? Will they find her secret access to the roof of their four-story home? Hard to believe? Flip through the photos hidden among the pages. Later, in the jaws of this shepherd, they discover a mouth full of newborn mice. Only one tiny body, wet with drool, is left shivering in the nest, what's to be done with it?

When Melody opens an Artisan's Co-op and tearoom in the historic district, what will become of the feral cats begging for food? Will the health inspector shut her down?

Every pet offers wisdom with lessons to learn, while many bring healing through unconditional love. These stories, and many more, will warm your heart as you share this unique bond between Melody and her pets.
