Blood Wars: Book One: Fruit from a Poisoned Tree - Paperback

by Julian Rodriguez (Author), James H. Beam (Author)

In a world devastated by a catastrophic radioactive event, the city once known as New York, now bathed in a strange bluish glow, has been transformed into Gamma City, a place where constant fallout has caused widespread mutations amongst the population. Under quarantine, the people of Gamma City require frequent, state sponsored blood renewals to survive. The black market for blood has become a cut-throat industry dominated by rival crime families. Blood is the currency.

The story of Blood Wars centers around Jack Snow, a former black ops agent turned rogue cop, who finds himself embroiled in the dangerous underworld of Gamma City. Jack, while fighting his own inner demons, is searching for a way to escape this world, and he sees the blood trade as his only ticket out. Amidst the chaos, a super-secretive and elite family bloodline, known only as The Corporation, infiltrates the other families and their plans at will and its actions have far-reaching consequences for the people of Gamma City.

As the different families battle for control of the blood trade, alliances are formed and broken, and jack finds himself caught in the middle. He must navigate the treacherous landscape of Gamma City's criminal underworld while trying to uncover the truth behind The Corporation's true intentions. In Gamma City, the stakes are high, and the battle for survival is waged in the shadows.
