Author Biography
Joaquín González Dorao is a professional illustrator and author of Travel Notebooks on different parts of the world, including 5 published with Lonelyplanet (Greece, Australia, China, Peru and Croatia), and many more on Ethiopia, Madrid, Cádiz, Turkey, Venice, Paris, Madrid, Bilbao, Granada, Seville... In his drawings and travel books he combines his two passions, watercolor and travel. He has been in the 5 continents and is as passionate in his work as the first day. In 2002 and 2004 he won first prize in the "Annual Notebooks Contest" organized Ambar Travel agency. He exhibited in 2008 in the library of Altaïr Barcelona (Ethiopia). He has been invited on 6 occasions to the "International Travel Notebooks Biennale" held in Clermont-Ferrand (France). He has taught courses on travel books at the International University of Malaga and La Casa del Lector (Matadero, Madrid).
