Foreword by Kim Shuck, Poet Laureate of San Francisco, Emeritus.

KR's cauldron of sensual mothering understands the necessity of bone that allows the goddess to bloom. "Give all that death to me" she says, an image that viscerally repeats daily; in the come around. This tome is for the self-reflective breaking dictums of becoming a victim, unearths buried silence. A harbor reveals a graveyard for justice. Some will hold their breath. KR's imagery is of a mystic enveloping a cauldron whose image is that of a hand we wish to see, stirring behind our backs. You will face it! This word work is for those confronting countless evictions from the magic of self-worth, a systemic predilection the moon itself can't resist.

Synchronicity, The Oracle of Sun Medicine

This striking collection is fueled by a distinct and feminine voice and is alive with lush and shimmering imagery, full of magic, blood, and grace. The poems have a mythical quality as they speak of the bonds of family and history and stare down the sometimes violent reality of a woman's experience in this life with a justified anger, coupled with a strength that brings transcendence. Every piece hits hard and true.

Pretty Things To Say

Cauldrons is a witch dream, sacraments of red juju, poems that permeate the marrow of bone and moonskin. K.R. Morrison is a gifted witch poet who weaves tales of reclamation. Her poems make me dizzy with literary pleasure.
