CLEAR the Way: Saving the World One Meeting at a Time - Hardcover

by Kerri Sutey (Author)

If meetings are where work happens, why do so many of them feel like a waste of time?

Leaders bring smart, capable people together every day, yet clarity, alignment, and meaningful action often fail to show up.

In CLEAR the Way, leadership coach and expert facilitator Kerri Sutey introduces a practical, human-centered framework for designing and leading meetings that actually work. Drawing on more than two decades of experience coaching leaders and facilitating teams across industries and around the world, Sutey reveals why so many meetings fall short and what leaders can do differently to create focus, alignment, and momentum.

At the heart of the book is the CLEAR framework, a simple yet powerful approach that helps leaders:

• Clarify the true purpose of a meeting
• List outcomes that actually matter
• Engage the right people at the right time
• Align on roles, expectations, and decisions
• Reason through the "why" so people leave committed, not confused

The result is more focused conversations, stronger alignment, and decisions that move work forward, not more meetings added to the calendar.

More than a how-to guide, CLEAR the Way invites a shift in how leaders think about time, attention, collaboration, and responsibility. Through real-world examples and immediately usable tools, this book helps leaders, facilitators, and teams replace frustration with focus and turn meetings into moments of momentum.
