In Daffodils in December: Poems from an Unexpected Life, Alice Bingham Gorman's beautifully crafted poems take readers from the poet's early childhood to her eighties.

In the words of poet Richard Blanco, "A book for anyone who has ever asked the proverbial question of life's meaning."

Spanning a lifetime, Alice Bingham Gorman's Daffodils in December traverses both loss and joy, clearly rendering both the harsher outer world of fact and the inner world of our secret hearts. This is a collection of poems both tender and tough, always enjoying the light, not fearful of the dark.
