Inside one of the containers, in a transparent envelope, is a piece of the victim's skin and the ominous figure of an origami dragon. Back at the police station, everyone agrees that it is a perfect case for Sargeant Masip, but he has been suspended following a controversial investigation and is waiting to hear back from internal affairs. All too soon, however, a second body appears in the coastal town of Cadaqués and it becomes clear that a serial killer is on the prowl. Masip is called back, and he and his squad are teamed up with their peers in Cadaqués, led by the enigmatic Cristina Espejel. In the meantime, the killer continues to send messages through the paper dragons he leaves at the scene of these crimes, hinting at a dark secret linked to a disturbing Catalan legend.

Author Biography
Rafa Melero Rojo es leridano de adopción, aunque nació en Barcelona en 1972. Mosso d'esquadra de profesión, en su etapa como investigador participó y lideró grupos como el de homicidios, el de delitos contra la salud pública o el de delitos contra el patrimonio. Desde joven su vida estuvo ligada al mundo del atletismo. Fue varias veces campeón de Cataluña en los 800 metros y oro en los mundiales de policías y bomberos de Barcelona en 2003. En 2013 publicó La ira del Fénix, que dio origen a su personaje Xavi Masip, y con Ful (2016), su tercera obra, ganó el I Premio de Novela Cartagena Negra en 2017. Dragones de papel es su séptima novela.
