How loud is Dreamer, and where should I put it?
Dreamer's default setting measures 65 dB at the device itself. Volume adjusts up and down from there, and sound drops off quickly with distance — so where you place it matters as much as the setting.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends keeping infant sound machines at roughly 50 decibels or below at the baby's sleep space, and placing the machine away from the crib rather than in or on it. We built the strap to fold into a stand for exactly this reason: for overnight sleep, stand Dreamer upright on a dresser or shelf across the room and use the lowest setting that masks household noise. Save the clip-on mode for strollers, car seats, and carriers — and turn the volume down when you do, since the device is sitting much closer to your baby.

Can Dreamer stand on its own?
Yes. The magnetic silicone strap doubles as a stand, so Dreamer sits upright on a table, dresser, shelf, nightstand, or desk. No separate accessory needed.

Is white noise bad for babies?
