Author Biography

Riccarda Saggese, a native of Italy, is a professor of Italian at the University of Delaware, where she teaches courses on Italian language, literature, and culture at all levels and leads a winter study abroad program in Siena, Italy. In addition to various Italian degrees, she earned a Ph.D. in Italian literature from Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests and publications are primarily in the area of Medieval Studies, Italian History, 19th and 20th Century Italian Literature, and second-language acquisition.
