A forward thinking nurse - a western town doctor and an unexpected surprise. What could possibly go wrong?
"We can't have nurses thinking for themselves!" In a world where men dominate and rule, Nurse Ellie was tired of losing her job because of doctors who didn't understand her skills. When an opportunity arises to marry a doctor in the frontier town of Wichita Falls, she jumps at the chance to start a new life far away from Charleston. Along with one small tiny detail she may not have mentioned in her letter, Ellie heads to the western prairie town to become the best nurse ever. James Winters knows match-maker Miss Addie is going to target him next. Little does she realize he has already decided to settle down with a wife and start a family, except he isn't expecting to go the mail-order route. But when she presents a chance for him to have a much-needed nurse for his practice and a bride, he agrees whole-heartedly. What could possibly go wrong? Brides of Wichita Falls is set in the 1870's after the completion of the railroad. Join match-maker Miss Addie as she finds brides for the hard-working men of Wichita Falls as they build a promising western town like no other! Come along and help to build this historical town with inspirational, clean & wholesome stories of mail order brides and their surprising adventures.
