Author Biography
Evelio Rosero Nació en Bogotá, en 1958. Aunque ya había publicado en Colombia la novela corta
Mateo solo (1984) y en España Juliana los mira (1987), fue con la publicación de Los ejércitos (2007) cuando su nombre alcanzó resonancia internacional, al ser merecedora del prestigioso Independent Foreign Fiction Prize, en Reino Unido (2009), y del ALOA Prize, en Dinamarca (2011).
Dentro de sus obras destacan las novelas Señor que no conoce la luna, Las muertes de fiesta, Plutón, Los almuerzos, En el lejero, La carroza de Bolívar (Premio Nacional de Novela en Colombia), Plegaria por un Papa envenenado, Toño Ciruelo y Casa de furia --todas traducidas a varios idiomas, recientemente al ruso y al amhárico--, así como la reunión definitiva de sus Cuentos
