Enemy At The Door - Paperback

by Stephen Taylor (Author)

When a bomb tears through a Westminster pub, killing a government minister and twenty civilians, Danny Pearson is standing outside. Seconds later, he spots the bomber in the crowd - calm, calculating, and military-trained. Danny gives chase through the London Underground, but the man doesn't just escape. He frames Danny for the attack using AI that can alter CCTV footage in real time, erasing himself from every camera and placing Danny at the scene carrying a bag he never had.

Pulled from a police cell by the intelligence operative known as Simon, Danny is drawn into a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of government. A shadowy group called Genesis UK is launching devastating cyber attacks on Britain's infrastructure, and the bomber - a lethal contract killer known only as Colorado - is assassinating the country's leading cyber security experts one by one. The attacks are designed to expose the failures of Ironclad, the government's three-hundred-million-pound digital defence system. Behind it all stands a powerful figure who will stop at nothing to replace Ironclad with his own technology - and pocket the fortune that comes with it.

With Danny's best friend Scott Miller now a target after being recruited to fix Ironclad, and Colorado proving to be the most dangerous opponent Danny has ever faced, the hunt becomes personal. From a rooftop pursuit across Waterloo to a deadly confrontation that costs the lives of people Danny cares about, this is a fight where the enemy can see everything, strike from anywhere, and make anyone disappear.

Enemy at the Door is the twelfth instalment in the internationally bestselling Danny Pearson series. A gripping, contemporary thriller that pits SAS grit against cutting-edge technology, with a villain who may be Danny's equal and a conspiracy that threatens to bring the country to its knees.

Perfect for fans of Andy McNab, Chris Ryan, Mark Dawson, and Tom Clancy.
