Thanks to the foresight and courage of her parents (her father, in particular), and the false identities that her family assumed, Margo was able to maintain hope, embrace and make the most of life in wartime France and ultimately emigrate to the United States, where she proceeded to live a most fulfilling life. These remembrances provide a poignant backdrop, largely untold until now, to her rich American story.
