Accountants have gone missing.
Agent 117 has failed to report. And what is a Death Orchid? A GATHERING OF EAGLES... ...or perhaps pigeons. A trips-on-his-tongue con man, a British-to-his-bristles cat burglar, a tech-wizard (sorry, 'conceptual artist'), and a Russian femme fatale (with the emphasis on fatale). The Silencers. Headed by a beleaguered executive secretary and assisted by her toddler-tending husband, they match wits against a master hunter in what is truly the most dangerous game. A missing lighthouse.
A lost tribe.
A message in a bottle ("Send more shoes! Size nine!"). The mad hunter Ivan Karloff stalks humans on his private island reserve - as mad hunters are apt to do - and Interpol's Special Infiltration Unit (Provisional) must discover his malevolent master plan before ... well, therein lies a tale. With a loving ear and a skeptical eye, The Silencers series simultaneously pays tribute to, and parodies, classic adventure tales. An homage and a comic subversion all at once. Think Charles Portis meets the Cohen brothers (wait, that already happened) or James Bond mugs Mark Twain. There. Think that.

by Whip Lipsey (Author)
Karloff stands before his prey. Bolas dangle from his waist. A short bow stretches across his chest. A hunting rifle rests in his hands. Rafe can make out a phrase engraved on the stock: Ivan the Terrible.
"Should we disregard the warnings?"
"Me, I don't trust the guy. I hate to go on early impressions, but he doesn't seem the honest sort."
