Intrigued by what they found, Budd continued the investigation on his own, and that led him to New England, and, ultimately, Rye Harbor.
After a stranger named Patrick arrives in Rye Harbor and signs on as crew with Quincey, a much-disliked fisherman and troublemaker there is an increase in late-night activity, rumors of smuggling, possible UFO sightings and intimidations. After Patti spots a body in a Hampton Beach Marina, Sylvie reemerges from the shadows and Jack and Max are pulled into yet another life-and-death situation.
