Filbert Nutberry's Grand Christmas Adventure by Michael Connelly is a children's story about a squirrel from the Pacific Northwest who takes a very unexpected, but fantastic journey all the way across the United States. Along the way, he meets wonderful people while visiting places he never knew existed and experiencing things he'd never dreamed he could. Filbert's journey not only bonds him with the person who becomes one of his dearest friends, truck driver Dusty Wheeler, but it also ultimately lands him in Washington, DC, where his presence turns out to be a fortunate turn of events for everyone there.
