JOSHUA LAERM (1942-1997) was director of the University of Georgia Museum of Natural History, author of several articles on the fauna of the Okefenokee Swamp, and was a corecipient of National Science Foundation grants to study the swamp's ecosystems.
B. J. FREEMAN is director and curator of zoology at the Georgia Museum of Natural History. He has published papers dealing with the Okefenokee and fishes of Georgia.
