Although several of his theoretical foundations have been questioned by recent findings in neuroscience and human behavior, his contributions to universal culture are undeniable. More than eighty years after his death, Freud, one of the most influential and controversial thinkers of the 20th century, continues to guide reflection on how our mental processes work.
