Irás Y No Volverás (Poesía) / You'll Go and You'll Not Return (Poems) - Paperback

by José Emilio Pacheco (Author)

Los días no volverán, aunque cada día amanezca;

pues a todas partes vamos a no volver.

A fragile testimony "of the moment that passes", "poetry is the shadow of memory, but it will be a matter of oblivion",

words "that dictates in its flow time in flight".

The days will not return, even if every day dawns;

Life leaves its remnant trail that leads nowhere,

because "we are not going to return everywhere.

We are for the last time everywhere".

With poems written between 1969 and 1972, in Irás y no volverás (You Will Go and You Will Not Return) José Emilio Pacheco captured a mark before it was erased by the sands of time, through his profession that is remembrance and nostalgia, the last "testimony of the ungraspable moment".
