It's Just Me Lord, Nobody Special - Paperback

by Tim Rimmer (Author)

He wasn't trying to be remembered-he was just trying to make it through.

From the dusty backroads of Arkansas to the quiet corners of a little boy's heart, It's Just Me Lord, Nobody Special is a tender, true story of a child who felt unseen, unheard, and forgotten. But through every scraped knee, whispered prayer, and overlooked moment, one truth echoed louder than the silence: God saw him.

Tim Rimmer's heartfelt autobiography chronicles a childhood marked by hardship, emotional wounds, and a longing to belong. Raised in rural Arkansas as a middle stepchild in a blended family, Timmy faced bullying at school, cruelty at home, and the aching silence of being passed over-by teachers, peers, and even his own stepmother. And yet, woven into every chapter is the unmistakable thread of divine grace.

Told with humor, grit, and raw honesty, this story captures the voice of a boy learning how to disappear before anyone noticed he was there-and the God who refused to let him stay invisible. Whether it was a Vacation Bible School song sung alone on a bench or bedtime stories whispered under a bunk bed light, Timmy's childhood became a patchwork of sacred moments in unexpected places.

This is not a fairy tale. It's not a sermon. It's a scrapbook of truth-messy, beautiful, and brimming with the quiet power of redemption. If you've ever felt small, overlooked, or unsure of your worth, this book is for you. Because sometimes the most powerful stories come from the ones who thought they didn't have one.
