Looking Through a Glass Darkly: Divided America and the Gathering Storm - Paperback

by John Whitmore Jenkins (Author)

Not since the Civil War have our People been so divided. Not since Pearl Harbor has our nation faced so many threats to our survival, now even our civilization. Never have our people been so unable to perceive what went wrong, why our culture seems to be coming unglued, what are the real threats facing us as citizens and our nation, or what We the People can do to impact a change in our nation's downward descent. "Looking Through a Class Darkly" will help us to see things more clearly as we seek to find the truths that will redeem us and our Republic. In this book you will read how: - Our nation went from the best to perhaps the worst of times in our living memory - Weak political leadership in Washington following 9/11 undermined our Republic - Unelected establishment elites have expropriated power by destroying the Constitution - Our free press sold its soul and abandoned its mandate to hold the powerful accountable - We the People and the States can save the Republic and weather the gathering storms John Whitmore Jenkins has spent the last fifty-nine years in business on the cutting edge of the most dramatic changes in our history. After graduating with an engineering degree from Texas A & M University, he served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force with the Strategic Air Command, America's first line of defense during the Cold War against Soviet ambitions. He received his MBA from the Harvard Business School and joined International Business Machines just as the company introduced computers into the world of business. He spent the last thirty years in an industry entangled with China's rise as a major challenger to America's leadership in the free world.
