Author Biography
Rafael Gumucio (Santiago de Chile, 1970) se ha consolidado en los últimos años como una voz clave de la narrativa latinoamericana contemporánea. Profesor especializado en asuntos humorísticos, ácido columnista y comentarista radiofónico, ocasional dramaturgo, es sobre todo en la crónica y en la novela donde se ha mostrado como un observador implacable tanto de sí mismo como de la realidad familiar y social que lo rodea, plasmando su inconfundible visión de las cosas en los libros Invierno en la torre (1995), Memorias prematuras (1999), Monstruos cardinales (2002), Comedia nupcial (2002), Los platos rotos (2004), Páginas coloniales (2006), La deuda (2009), Contra la belleza (2010), La situación (2010), Mi abuela, Marta Rivas González (2013) y Milagro en Haití (2015). En 2004 obtuvo el Premio Anna Seghers.
