He moved to Tualatin, Oregon in 1987 and graduated from Portland State University with a degree in business management. He had a distinguished career for thirty-five years in transportation freight claims. Richard is married to his wife, Janice, and has three children: Garrett, Robert, and Michelle. He currently serves as a member of a local body of believers and loves to organize the annual golf tournament.
