Their other close neighbors are a ranch family who help the teens adjust to Wyoming living and teach them to ride. While hiking in the mountains, Megan finds the wild horses and befriends one particular mare, calling her Prairie Fire. Will she be able to purchase this mare at the wild horse auction or be outbid? Can her cowboy neighbor help? Cleaning house for her father's wealthy boss adds more mystery to the whole summer for these newcomers and their friends and the conclusion of this Wyoming novel.
