He's on the cusp of a ground-breaking invention that could transform his entire planet, and everyone admires him. But everything changes when a devastating secret about his family comes to light. Suddenly, Ret is a social pariah, ostracized and abandoned by the very society that once revered him. His father is banished, his mother is labeled a traitor, and his sister is broken and embittered. But Ret refuses to give up. He clings to his vision, determined to see it through no matter the cost. Ret must confront the dark truths lurking beneath the surface of his society as he battles the injustice that has destroyed his family.
