Samantha Granger has finally come to terms with being different. The only way to keep her situation under control is to stay far away from Trevor Hamilton or risk bringing Digital Diva out of retirement. She gets her wish when the government gets involved. They've discovered Sam's identity and threaten to expose her if she doesn't cooperate. She's whisked off to Washington DC to a special school for gifted students called IPR, where she discovers she's not alone. Only, when a mole threatens their very existence, it's up to Sam and her fellow Phenoteens to save themselves.

"Readers are bound to be intrigued by this new action heroine." - Kirkus

"There is a refreshing new voice for upper M.G. fans and it belongs to author Kari Lee Townsend. Hip, smart and funny, 'Samantha Granger!' engages readers from start to finish. Townsend gives 'teen angst' a whole new meaning, 'fusing' her story with charm and delight. Samantha Granger is here, and she's a winner!" - Hollywood Director Doug McKeon

"Plenty of complications and plot twists that keep things moving. The wacky humor is equally appealing. This is definitely a book targeted at girls. Many will identify with Sam's interests and fears, as she narrates her life in the first-person. Boys might enjoy the action and science fiction aspects... It's a fun and timely concept...as the first in a series, so girls who like action and humor may have found a new superhero to follow." - The New York Journal of Books

"A mix of tween school life and Samantha's more adventurous heroics, with a targeted demographic of tween girls. It's a fun little book that its projected audience should enjoy and would probably make an entertaining movie for that same demographic." -Fantasy & Science Fiction Magazine

"A fun read that I think middle grade or tween girls would really enjoy. As a first in a series it definitely peaked my interest and I'm curious as to where Sam's special abilities will take her." - Red House Books
