Stephen Wade has written and edited thirty books. He specializes in true crime and the history of crime but has also written on social and literary history. His most recent publications include "The Torso in the Tank" (Black and White, 2005) and "Foul Deeds and Suspicious Deaths around Scunthorpe" (Wharncliffe, 2005). He lectures on the history of crime and law at the University of Hull and is a visiting lecturer at the University of Oxford School of Continuing Education.
