Author Biography

Alison England, LMSW, is a mother of three children. Her youngest was adopted through domestic adoption in 2012. During their 20 years of marriage, she and her husband, Joel, have remained steadfast in their Christian faith. A counselor and college professor, Alison brings more than 15 years of social work experience to the pages of Tandem. Having lived in several states while Joel served in the military, she led numerous youth and children's programs in various churches. Alison now volunteers as the President of the west coast chapter of Families for Private Adoption (FPA) in Phoenix, Arizona.
