Author Biography

Donna Baer is an Ivy League educated investment banker, turned homeschooling mother of ten. Her desire to write this book came out of her decades of experience as a church youth group leader. Year after year, teenagers who were curious about the Bible or had serious questions about their faith would ask her for book recommendations. Most of the best sellers in the YA categories were either too light, or too laden with pathologies for her to endorse. She wanted to provide an option for young adults that spoke clearly, narrated well, and respected their intelligence. When the author shared the contents of this book with teenage girls on Friday nights, dozens would sit attentively as she taught hour-long sessions. Without texting or fidgeting (and without the lure of the opposite sex!), these young adults were captivated by the story of Christ hidden in the Bible's Feasts. Though the book was originally intended for a teenage audience, many adults have profited from its clean, jargon-free descriptions of the Christian faith.
