As an assist for grade school children this edition has been freshly typeset in a contemporary font and complemented with footnotes for rare words, references to mythological personalities, and countries past and present. Included in the addendum is a map showing the cities and countries referred to, a brief biography of the author, Padraic Colum, and an illustration of an uncommon bird mentioned in the text.
