Exploring some of the area's most exotic and far-flung corners, local historians Lynn Salsi and Frances Eubanks spent countless hours interviewing some of Carteret County's most memorable personalities and recorded their fascinating stories, ranging from the comic to the tragic. It is in the words of these special men and women that readers can truly appreciate the Crystal Coast experience and can unlock a door to the past, stepping back into a time not so distant, yet ages ago in its styles and nature of existence.
