The historicist school of interpretation was the dominant approach from Reformation times through most of the nineteenth century. The reasons for the current disaffection are too complex to address in a few words, but it is the author's conviction that from the standpoint of sound principles of biblical hermeneutics, the historicist inerpretation is still the most creditable approach for an accurate understanding of this, the last book of the Bible and the final prophecy of Jesus.
Author Biography
Oral Edmond Collins is a professor of Bible at the Berkshire Institute for Christian Studies and was for thirty-five years a professor of Bible at the Berkshire Christian College. He is active as an elder in his local church and as a popular Bible teacher and lecturer on biblical prophecy.
