The Priestess and the Magus, Book Two: We the People - Paperback

by Jessie E. Ayani (Author)

Welcome to New Avalon, a sustainable eco-village nestled in a green valley between the forested ridges of the Cascade foothills. Our progressive news anchor, Leah Erickson, finds herself challenged to maintain the high standards she has set for their Internet television show, Light on the Crisis, whilst confronted with major personal and community crises. Can she, as a healer, help save the life of her brother-in-spirit, Demetri Malkodina, whose brother's suicide has severed his connection with reality? Can she navigate the waters of balanced collaborations with wildly popular, often radical, progressive talk show host, Joel Robertson? Will she succeed in elevating the consciousness of her warrior dragon and face her greatest adversary as she pursues the ages-old initiatory path of the Order of the Ruby? And, how will the discovery of an unusual family, isolated for many years in the forest over the ridge, change her life and that of her community? Through an act of grace, she's been reunited with her life's love and Lord of the Ruby, Chris Kramer, who holds a space of loving strength, wisdom, humor and non-interference as her process unfolds. His laid back role in the community shifts dramatically as his life, prior to his spiritual calling, is revealed. Can life be any fuller? Why not? Add Leah's grandchildren, eager to meet their mysterious Aussie granddad, Pops Kramer, when visiting for Christmas; the community's active participation in the creation of a model sustainable village for the homeless; and Leah's passionate, personal quest to understand the truth of humanity's cosmic evolution and the Christ Mystery. Like the weft and warp of strongly woven cloth, the joys and challenges of life in New Avalon - amidst the failings of societal infrastructure at every level - are strengthen by the presence of two deeply meaningful fibers of resiliency: We the People, which speaks to the heart of every person invested in freedom and human rights, and Redemption, which restores the hope of a purposeful life to those whom life has defeated.
