This book continues the prequel of Lewis's capture and escape from an Indian raiding party, becoming a hero to many, and a threat to others. The intent of this book is to inform young readers of the history of the American Indian in a crucial and often forgotten period of their history as they struggled against forces beyond anyone's control.
