Things could not be going better for Sheriff Jonas Lauer. As he sifts through the ice cold case, Jonas also has to investigate a serial flasher, who leaves his "mark" on the windows of the local businesses and deal with the most incompetent militia he's ever seen. Lydia's ex-beau comes to town, stirring things up and when word gets out that the new owner of a local landmark, Isabel Lunsford, is a retired adult film star, Jonas has to keep one of the residents from trying to run her out of town. With the help of his team, Jonas will have to call on all of his skills to solve the case. Plus with an election year around the corner he must address the burning question everyone's been asking him. Will he once again seek to be Monroe County's "high" sheriff? Jesse Hester is a graduate of Monroe County's Hiwassee College and the neighboring county's Tennessee Wesleyan College. He was fortunate to graduate from the National Forensic Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee. This opportunity lends tremendous authenticity to his writing.
