Joseph M. Macarthy is executive director of the Sierra Leone Urban Research Centre. Braima Koroma is director of research and training at the Sierra Leone Urban Research Centre. Andrea Rigon is professor of participatory development planning at UCL and will soon join the Polytechnic of Milan. Alexandre Apsan Frediani is the principal researcher at the Human Settlements Group of the International Institute for Environment and Development, in London. Andrea Klingel is director of operations at the Sierra Leone Urban Research Centre.
