Florida's economy was left in shambles after the attacks. Overnight, Orlando's tourism industry ground to a halt, forcing Vinny's family to relocate. They went out west to Arizona to find better employment opportunities.
When they arrived in Arizona, Vinny was still just a pup, not yet one year old. However, he was old enough to have been surprised by what he had seen. Phoenix was very different from what he remembered back home in Florida. Orlando was lush with green trees, and vegetation lakes were everywhere. It suddenly occurred to the little pug, 'my new home in Phoenix is in the desert!'.
