Weekends at Grandma's, is a book about a young girl named Valerie, and the weekends she spent with her grandparents. Spending time with her grandparents was the highlight of her weekend, and each time she departed to go back home, she anxiously anticipated the following weekend. She will always remember the things she learned while spending time with them, because those moments made her happy. When she thought about all the wonderful things she experienced, she knew she had to write about them as if it was yesterday.

Author Biography

Valerie Parsons Isley is a kind and patient person, who cares about everyone who crosses her path. She enjoys working with children, and it has always been a longing desire for her to write children's books. She hopes this book will enlighten others, to have a closer relationship with their family, and hold on to their core values, in this fast-paced life. She is an elementary school teacher, with 19 years of teaching experience. In addition, since the COVID-19 pandemic, she had time to do the things she always wanted to do, and one of them were, writing children's books. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration, a Master of Education, and an Education Specialist Degree. She encourages people to live out their dreams through hard work, and dedication.
