Wouten, the Mbum princess, was born in the 13th Century in the central part Africa, in the highlands where the Logone and Sanaga rivers criss-cross. Daughter to Koya, the powerful monarch of the Ngan-Ha kingdom, and Queen Vanafou, she had an initiatory childhood and adolescence that will turn her into a woman with extraordinary powers and an undaunted war leader.

With the blessing of Ga-Wen, God the Creator, Wouten will leave, followed by some of her people and warriors, to conquer new lands. Wouten is a narrative that retraces the journey of the founding queen of the peoples of the West Region of present-day Cameroon. This first Volume recounts the dazzling evolution of the princess in the kingdom of Ngan-Ha, in the heart of the Adamawa Region. This literary work based on real facts, is revisiting the settings where these events took place in order to piece historical facts historical facts together as well as possible and restore the age-old links between peoples who have been separated by contemporary history.
