Pianist Rudolf Firkusny completed his work on this important collection shortly before his 1994 death. This volume constitutes a continuation of his pioneering efforts to bring international recognition to the music of his native country, the former Czechoslovakia.
Author Biography
Czech composer Antonin Dvorák (1841-1904) employed the folk idioms of Moravia and his native Bohemia in a synthesis of Romantic and Classicist styles. His symphonic, choral, and chamber works include the well-known New World Symphony and Slavonic Dances.
