Author Biography

Michael J. Jones, CPA, lives in Carmel, California and is a partner with DeeAnn L. Thompson, CPA, in Thompson Jones LLP, located in nearby Monterey. He is the author of The Pension Answer Book's Special Supplement: Final Regulations Governing Required Minimum Distributions (June 2002, Aspen Publishers) and Inheriting an IRA - How to Create a Lifetime of Paychecks (May, 2014, Paddleboard Press), as well as nearly 100 articles in acclaimed tax periodicals, including Leimberg Information Services, Inc., Trusts & Estates (where he chairs the editorial advisor board's Retirement Benefits Committee), and Tax Notes.
