More Little Nuns - Paperback
by Joe Lane (Author)
"More Little Nuns" was actually the first of the collections of Joe Lane nun cartoons, launching a series of books about nuns (and others about men of the cloth) that were popular in the 1950s and 1960s. This volume had preorders of over 50,000 copies when it was released. NOTE: Joe Lane occasionally used caricatures of Africans and Native Americans which, while common at the time, are understood as inappropriate today. These are included in this edition in order to make it a proper reprint. For those who would prefer to avoid such cartoons, we recommend the collection "Nun Funnies!".
Author Biography
Joe Lane was a pen name of Joseph Eichberger (1911-2009), a World War II Navy veteran and Chicago Fire Department engineer whose cartooning career included pre-Golden Age comic books as well as a long run producing cartoons about nuns, priests, and the faithful for the Catholic magazine Extension.
