Author Biography
Bülent Diken is senior lecturer at Lancaster University, Department of Sociology. Previously he held a research position in Aarhus School of Architecture where he completed his Ph.D. in urban studies, and an assistant professorship at Roskilde University, Department of Geography. His books include Strangers, Ambivalence and Social Theory (1998). Recently he has co-authored The Culture of Exception (Routledge, 2005), and Sociology through the Projector (Routledge 2007).
