Recognizing our trauma wounds and retraining our inner core to think and respond differently is essential in recovery. Many wounds are harbored in our subconscious thinking. Any new wound that mimics an old wound or trauma gives us an exaggerated emotion and we revert to core destructive emotional patterns. Many wounds develop in childhood and are left untreated. Retraining inner emotions changes our thoughts patterns and develops new core patterns of love, joy, and lasting peace. These emotional skills can give us the strength to pursue lasting recovery.
